Bike Park

The McLaren Bike Park is the first Bicycle Motocross (BMX) and Mountain Biking Park in San Francisco. Featuring a beginner skills trail, youth pump park, and multi-use plaza, the park introduces people of all ages to biking. Experienced recreation staff are on-site to offer free skills training to all.
Gleneagles Golf Course
Location: 2100 Sunnydale Avenue | Map It
This nine-hole facility is widely considered a hidden jewel for its beautiful bay vistas and challenging layout. Tilted terrain, fast greens, and tight fairways provide a unique golf experience. Gleneagles also allows FootGolfers. Make a tee time .
Crocker Amazon Playground

Crocker Amazon is a massive sports complex featuring five lighted soccer fields, baseball and softball fields, and courts for tennis, basketball, and bocce. There’s also a skatepark, clubhouse, community garden, and dog-friendly areas. Visit the Crocker Amazon main page .
Louis Sutter Playground and McNab Lake

Herz Playground

Coffman Swimming Pool
Location: 1700 Visitacion Avenue | Map It
Located at the southeastern entrance of McLaren Park, Coffman offers recreational swim, learn-to-swim classes, water aerobics, and underwater hockey. Originally built in 1957 and refreshed in 2008. Visit Coffman Pool main page .
La Grande Tank Water Tower
Location: Off of Ina Court and John F. Shelley Drive | Map It
This 80-foot-tall blue tower is a quirky landmark perched high on a hill. Take a hike up to the tower to find stunning 270-degree views of the city and the 280 Freeway below.
Peru Playground
Location: Peru and Burrows Streets | Map It
A charming play area tucked away on the north side of the park, featuring a small play structure, swings, and a basketball half-court. A picnic area is also available for rent nearby.
McLaren Natural Area
Location: Bacon and Oxford Streets | Map It
Composed of grasslands, scrub, and forests, this area features over 11 miles of trails and scenic views. It is home to sensitive plants and wildlife, including the Mission blue butterfly and California quail.
Volunteer Opportunities

Join the Natural Resource Division in monthly restoration projects to weed and maintain restoration sites. Explore the biological diversity of the city’s second-largest park.
McLaren Tennis Courts

Stop by for a game on these recently resurfaced courts. You can book a court for up to 1.5 hours using our tennis reservation system .
Labyrinth
Location: Off of John F. Shelley Drive | Map It
Take a hike to the park’s highest point to see this maze-like rock formation. Inspired by Greek mythology, it’s a quirky spot that delights visitors with panoramic views.
Ropes Course
Location: Wilde Overlook Tower area | Map It
Operated by Outward Bound California , this course features eight aerial challenges, a Discovery Tower, and a “Leap of Faith” solo challenge.
